About Concord High School Girls Volleyball 2010
For the past 7 seasons, Concord High School Volleyball has gone through a tremendous transformation. Moving from the bottom of an extremely tough league - without receiving respect from our own league competition, the program is now considered a tough opponent having made 3 North Coast Section Playoff appearances in the last 5 seasons, just missing a spot by 1 match the other 2 years.
We have developed a program that encompasses all 3 levels of play - Freshman, Junior Varsity (9-11th Grades), and Varsity (9-12th Grades). Each team will have preseason and league play along with a minimum of 2 tournaments (Saturday commitments). Within each team we strive to develop the skill sets necessary to playing that level of ball and beyond. Each player, once selected for a team, will be required to attend all practices daily and attend all games.
In order for a player to be eligible to play, she must:
- have her athletic clearance form completed and turned in by 1st day of tryouts;
- have the CIF steroid use policy form signed and turned in by 1st day of tryouts;
- have and maintain a 2.0 GPA. All entering freshmen must have a minimum 2.0 from middle school transcripts;
- abide by all MDUSD, CHS, NCS, and CIF rules pertaining to player eligibility and participation in school sports and activities.
